When you disable the iSCSI feature, iSCSI resources are released and the detection of EqualLogic arrays using LLDP is disabled. Disabling
iSCSI does not remove the MTU, ow control, portfast, or storm control conguration applied as a result of enabling iSCSI.
NOTE: By default, CAM allocation for iSCSI is set to 0. This disables session monitoring.
Default iSCSI Optimization Values
The following table lists the default values for the iSCSI optimization feature.
Table 40. iSCSI Optimization Defaults
Parameter Default Value
iSCSI Optimization global setting Disabled
iSCSI CoS mode (802.1p priority queue mapping) Enabled: dot1p priority 4 without the remark setting
iSCSI CoS Packet classication VLAN classies the iSCSI packets instead of by DSCP values.
VLAN priority tag iSCSI ows are assigned by default to dot1p priority 4 without the
remark setting.
DSCP None: user-congurable.
Remark Not congured.
iSCSI session aging time 10 minutes
iSCSI optimization target ports iSCSI well-known ports 3260 and 860 are congured as default
(with no IP address or name) but can be removed as any other
congured target.
iSCSI Optimization Prerequisites
The following are iSCSI optimization prerequisites.
• iSCSI optimization requires LLDP on the switch. LLDP is enabled by default (refer to Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP)).
• iSCSI optimization requires you allocate two ingress ACL groups in CAM, refer to CAM Allocation
NOTE
: Before you congure iSCSI optimization, you can ensure that these prerequisites are met by copying the iSCSI
conguration le to the running conguration. The iSCSI conguration le is stored at: ash:/CONFIG_TEMPLATE/
ISCSI_DCB_CONFIG.
Conguring iSCSI Optimization
To congure iSCSI optimization, use the following commands.
1 Globally enable iSCSI optimization on the switch.
CONFIGURATION mode
[no] iscsi enable
NOTE
: You cannot enable iSCSI optimization when the VLT domain is active. To deactivate the VLT domain, use the no
vlt domain command.
The default is disabled.
2 Congure the iSCSI target ports and optionally the IP addresses on which iSCSI communication is monitored.
CONFIGURATION mode
