Zone Merge (within ISL)
When two switches are connected through E-port, the active zonesets are merged.
Merge operation involves checking for any zones with same name and dierent member set and segmenting the switches. If no conicts
are found, the zones are merged together.
All unique zones are part of both the switches. All non-unique zones (that is, zones with same name and same members) stay intact. At the
end of merge operation, all zones and zone members in both the switches are identical. Both switches retain their active zoneset name.
To view the merged active zones, use the show fc zoneset merged command.
Conguring Fabric Parameters
To congure fabric parameters, follow these steps.
1 Enable the Fibre Channel Domain-id Lock.
FCoE-map conguration mode
domain-id-lock
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# domain-id-lock
2 Disable the Fibre Channel Domain-id Lock.
no domain-id-lock
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# no domain-id-lock
3 Congure the domain-id.
domain-id<FC-doman-ID>
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# domain-id 3
4 Congure the principal switch priority.
principal-priority<Principal Switch Priority>
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# principal-priority 254
5 Congure the error detect timeout value.
E-D-TOV<FC E-D-TOV Timeout-Valued>
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# e-d-TOV 2000
This is the basic error timeout used for all Fibre Channel error detection.
The default is 2000 milliseconds.
6 Congure the resource allocation timeout value.
R-A-TOV<FC R-A-TOV Timeout-value>
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# r-a-TOV 10000
