Usage Information
CAUTION: Dell Force10 recommends that you do not change the administrative distance of
internal routes. Changing the administrative distances may cause routing table inconsistencies.
The higher the administrative distance assigned to a route means that your condence in that route is low.
Routes assigned an administrative distance of 255 are not installed in the routing table.
Routes from confederations are treated as internal BGP routes.
maximum-paths
Congure the maximum number of parallel routes (multipath support) BGP supports.
Syntax
maximum-paths {ebgp | ibgp} number
To return to the default values, use the no maximum-paths command.
Parameters
ebgp Enter the keyword ebgp to enable multipath support for External BGP routes.
ibgp Enter the keyword ibgp to enable multipath support for Internal BGP routes.
number Enter a number as the maximum number of parallel paths. The range is from 1 to 16.
The default is 1.
