Users Guide

If the switch attempts to contact a DHCP server and one is not found, it enters a loop while reloading in
BMP mode. To interrupt the reload and boot up in Normal mode, enter the stop bmp command. The
startup conguration is then loaded from the local ash on the switch.
To toggle between Normal and BMP Auto Conguration modes, use the reload-type command in BMP
3.0. Reload settings for Auto Conguration mode that you congure are stored in memory and retained for
future reboots and BMP software upgrades. To reload the switch in the last congured mode: Normal reload
or BMP mode, you can enter the reload command at any time.
Upgrade any conguration changes that have changed the NVRAM content by performing a reload on the
chassis.
While BMP is on, the Dell Networking OS Command Line Reference Guide prompt changes to “Dell-BMP”.
