Buer Tuning Commands
The following sections detail the buer tuning commands.
WARNING: Altering the buer allocations is a sensitive operation. Do not use any buer tuning commands without rst
contacting the Dell Networking Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
buer-prole (Conguration)
Create a buer prole that can be applied to an interface.
Syntax
buffer-profile {fp | csf] profile-name {global {1Q | 4q}
Parameters
fp Enter the keyword fp to create a buer prole for the Field Processor.
csf Enter the keyword csf to create a buer prole for the Switch Fabric Processor.
prole-name Create a name for the buer prole,
global Apply one of two pre-dened buer proles to all of the port-pipes in the system.
1Q Enter the keyword 1Q to choose a pre-dened buer prole for single queue (for
example, non-QoS) applications.
4Q Enter the keyword 4q to choose a pre-dened buer prole for four queue (for
example, QoS) applications.

Usage Information
The buffer-profile global command fails if you have already applied a custom buer-prole on an
interface. Similarly, when you congure buffer-profile global, you cannot not apply buer-prole
on any interface.
