Command History
This guide is platform-specic. For command information about other platforms, refer to the relevant Dell
Networking OS Command Line Reference Guide.
The following is a list of the Dell Networking OS version history for this command.

Usage Information The following message displays to conrm the command.
Setting ports Fo 1/60 as stack group will make their interface configs
obsolete after a reload.[confirm yes/no]: If “y” is entered, all non-
default configurations on any member ports of the current stack group will
be removed when the unit is rebooted.
NOTE: Any scripts used to streamline the stacking conguration process must be updated to
reect the Command Mode change from EXEC Privilege to CONFIGURATION to allow the scripts
to work correctly.
upgrade boot (stack unit)
Upgrade the boot image (bootash or bootselector) on one or all stack units in an S5000 stack from the master switch.

Syntax
upgrade boot {bootflash-image| bootselector-image} stack-unit {stack-unit—id | all} {booted:
| flash://file-path | ftp://file-path | tftp://file-path | usbflash://file-path}
Parameters
boot Enter the keyword boot to change the boot image.
bootash-image Upgrade the boot image in the bootash partition.
bootselector-image Upgrade the boot image in the bootselector partition. You are prompted to enter the password.
stack-unit {stack-
unit-id | all}
Enter the keyword stack-unit: followed by the stack unit ID of a member unit or all to upgrade the
boot image on all stack member units. Valid stack-unit ID numbers are 0 to 11.
booted: Upgrade the stack using the image with which the master switch booted up.
ash: After the keyword flash:, enter the location of the source le in the internal ash in the format: //file-
pathname or press Enter to launch a prompt sequence.
ftp: After the keyword ftp:, enter the location of the source le in the format: //userid:password@host-
ip-address/file-pathname or press Enter to launch a prompt sequence.
tftp: After the keyword tftp:, enter the location of the source le in the format: //host-ipaddress/file—
pathname or press Enter to launch a prompt sequence.
usbash: After the keyword usbflash:, enter the location of the source le in the format: //file-pathname or
press Enter to launch a prompt sequence.
