Conguring Fibre Channel Interfaces
To congure a Fibre Channel interface, follow these steps.
1 Congure an FC interface.
CONFIGURATION mode
interface fibrechannel slot/port
The range of the slot (stack-unit) numbers is from 0 to 11. The range of the port numbers is from 0 to 47.
NOTE: You can install an FC module only in expansion slot 0.
2 Congure the speed of an FC port.
INTERFACE FIBRE_CHANNEL mode
speed {auto | 2G | 4G | 8G}
The valid values are: 2, 4 Gbps or 8 Gbps or autosensing.
The default is an FC port autosenses the speed of a peer FC port.
3 Enable the Fibre Channel port.

Displaying Fibre Channel Information
To display information on switch-wide and interface-specic Fibre Channel operation, use the following commands.

Displays the conguration of an FC interface.

Clears the statistics (counters) the show interfaces fibrechannel command output displays for a
specied FC port.
show fc switch Displays the switch conguration for Fibre Channel capability.
show running-cong
| grep feature
Displays the currently running conguration feature.
show running-cong
| grep feature
Displays the currently running conguration for the switch-mode.
