Connect the S5000 to the Network
After you have completed the hardware installation and software configuration for the S5000 system, you can
connect to your company network by following your company’s cabling requirements.
Configure File Management
You can store on and access files from various storage media. Rename, delete, and copy files on the system
from the EXEC Privilege mode.
NOTE: Using flash memory cards in the system that have not been approved by Dell Networking can
cause unexpected system behavior, including a reboot.
Copying Files to and from the System
The command syntax for copying files is similar to UNIX. The copy command uses the format copy source-
file-url destination-file-url.
NOTE: For a detailed description of the copy command, refer to the Dell Networking OS Command Line
Reference Guide.
To copy a local file to a remote system, combine the file-origin syntax for a local file location with the
file-destination syntax for a remote file location.
To copy a remote file to Dell Networking system, combine the file-origin syntax for a remote file
location with the file-destination syntax for a local file location.
