Usage
Information
The password is listed in the configuration file; you can view the password by
entering the show running-config ftp command.
The password configured by the ip ftp password command is used when you
use the ftp: parameter in the copy command.

Specify an interface’s IP address as the source IP address for FTP connections.

Syntax
ip ftp source-interface type slot/port
Parameters
source-
interfacetype
slot/port
Enter the source-interface keyword followed by the
interface type and slot/port or number information. Valid slot
numbers are 0-11. The valid port numbers for each interface
type are listed below.
• For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
tengigabitethernet followed by slot/port numbers.
The port range is 0 to 63.
• For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE followed by slot/port numbers. The ports are
48, 52, 56, and 60.
• For a Loopback interface, enter the keyword loopback
followed by a number from 0 to 16383.
• For a Port Channel interface, enter the keywords port-
channel followed by a number from 1 to 128.
• For a VLAN interface, enter the keyword vlan followed
by a VLAN id number from 1 to 4094.
Defaults The IP address on the system that is closest to the Telnet address is used in the
outgoing packets.
