Usage
Information
When you enter no fefd for an interface and fefd-global, FEFD is enabled on the
interface because the no fefd command is not retained in the configuration file.
To keep the interface FEFD disabled when the global configuration changes, use
the
fefd reset command.

Syntax
fefd-global [mode {normal | aggressive}]
To disable FEFD globally, use the no fefd-global [mode {normal |
aggressive}]
command.
Parameters
normal (OPTIONAL) Enter the keywords mode normal to change
the link state to “unknown” when a far-end failure is detected
by the software on that interface. When the interface is
placed in “unknown” state, the software brings down the line
protocol. The default is
Normal mode.
aggressive (OPTIONAL) Enter the keywords mode aggressive to
change the link state to “error-disabled” when a far-end
failure is detected by the software on that interface. When an
interface is placed in “error-disabled” state, you must enter
the fefd reset command to reset the interface state.
