IP COMMUNITY LIST Mode
You must use IP COMMUNITY LIST mode to configure an IP Community ACL on the S5000. For more
information, refer to Access Control Lists (ACL).
To enter IP COMMUNITY LIST mode:
1. Verify that you are logged in to CONFIGURATION mode.
2. Enter the ip community-list command. Include a name for the Community list. The prompt
changes to include (config-community-list).
You can return to CONFIGURATION mode by using the exit command.
REDIRECT-LIST Mode
You must use REDIRECT-LIST mode to configure a Redirect list on the S5000. For more information,
refer to the S5000 FTOS Command Line Reference Guide, Policy-based Routing (PBR).
To enter REDIRECT-LIST mode:
1. Verify that you are logged in to CONFIGURATION mode.
2. Use the ip redirect-list command. Include a name for the Redirect-list. The prompt changes
to include (conf-redirect-list).
You can return to CONFIGURATION mode by using the exit command.
SPANNING TREE Mode
You must use SPANNING TREE mode to enable and configure the Spanning Tree protocol. For more
information, refer to Spanning Tree Protocol (STP).
To enter SPANNING TREE mode:
1. Verify that you are logged in to CONFIGURATION mode.
2. Enter the protocol spanning-tree stp-id command.
You can return to CONFIGURATION mode by using the exit command
Per-VLAN SPANNING TREE (PVST+) Plus Mode
You must use PVST+ mode to enable and configure the Per-VLAN Spanning Tree (PVST+) protocol. For
more information, refer to Per-VLAN Spanning Tree Plus (PVST+).
NOTE: The protocol name is PVST+, but the plus sign is dropped at the CLI prompt.
To enter PVST+ mode:
1. Verify that you are logged in to CONFIGURATION mode.
2. Enter the protocol spanning-tree pvst command.
You can return to CONFIGURATION mode by using the exit command.
RAPID SPANNING TREE (RSTP) Mode
You must use RSTP mode to enable and configure RSTP. For more information, refer to Rapid Spanning
Tree Protocol (RSTP).
