peer-group-
name
Enter the name of the peer group to disable or enable all
routers within the peer group.
Defaults Enabled (that is, BGP neighbors and peer groups are disabled.)

Usage
Information
Peers that are enabled within a peer group are disabled when their peer group is
disabled.
The neighbor shutdown command terminates all BGP sessions on the BGP
neighbor or BGP peer group. Use this command with caution as it terminates the
specified BGP sessions. When a neighbor or peer group is shutdown, use the
show
ip bgp summary command to confirm its status.

neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} soft-reconfiguration
inbound
To disable, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} soft-
reconfiguration inbound
command.
Parameters
ip-address Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal
format.
peer-group-
name
Enter the name of the peer group to disable or enable all
routers within the peer group.
Defaults Disabled

Information
This command enables soft-reconfiguration for the BGP neighbor specified. BGP
stores all the updates received by the neighbor but does not reset the peer-
session.
