Usage
Information
To enable VRRP traffic, assign an IP address to the VRRP group using the
virtual-address command and enter no disable.

hold-time
Specify a delay (in seconds) before a switch becomes the MASTER virtual router. By delaying the
initialization of the VRRP MASTER, the new switch can stabilize its routing tables.

hold-time seconds
To return to the default value, use the no hold-time command.
Parameters
seconds Enter a number of seconds. The range is 0 to 65535. The
default is zero (0) seconds.

Information
If a switch is a MASTER and you change the hold timer, you must disable and re-
enable VRRP for the new hold timer value to take effect.
