Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP)
The Dell Networking OS implementation of rapid spanning tree protocol (RSTP) is based on the IEEE
802.1w standard spanning-tree protocol. The RSTP algorithm configures connectivity throughout a
bridged local area network (LAN) that is comprised of LANs interconnected by bridges.
Dell Networking OS supports RSTP on the S5000.
bridge-priority
Set the bridge priority for RSTP.
S5000
Syntax
bridge-priority priority-value
To return to the default value, use the no bridge-priority command.
Parameters
priority-value Enter a number as the bridge priority value in increments of
4096. The range is 0 to 61440. The default is 32768.
Defaults 32768
