Usage
Information
Enter this command to honor all incoming 802.1p markings on incoming switched
traffic on the interface. By default, this facility is not enabled (that is, the 802.1p
markings on incoming traffic are not honored).
You can apply this command on both physical interfaces and port channels. When
you set the service-class dynamic for a port channel, the physical interfaces
assigned to the port channel are automatically configured; you cannot assign the
service-class dynamic command to individual interfaces in a port channel.
All traffic is by default mapped to the same queue, Queue 0. If you honor dot1p on
ingress, you can create service classes based the queueing strategy using the
service-class dynamic dot1p command from INTERFACE mode. You may
apply this queuing strategy to all interfaces by entering this command from
CONFIGURATION mode.
All dot1p traffic is mapped to Queue 0 unless you enble the service-class
dynamic dot1p command on an interface or globally.
Layer 2 or Layer 3 service policies supercede dot1p service classes.
