debug ip bgp updates
Allows you to view information about BGP updates.
Syntax
debug ip bgp [ipv6-address | peer-group peer-group-name | ipv6 unicast
[ipv6-address]] updates [in | out | prefix-list prefix-list-name]
To disable debugging, use the no debug ip bgp [ip-address | peer-group peer-group-
name | ipv6 unicast [ipv6-address]] updates [in | out] command.
Parameters
ipv6-address
(OPTIONAL) Enter the IPv6 address in the x:x:x:x::x format then the prefix length
in the /x format. The range is from /0 to /128.
NOTE: The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal fields of zeros.
peer-group
peer-
group-name
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keywords peer-group then the name of the peer group.
ipv6 unicast
[
ipv6-address
]
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keywords ipv6 unicast, and, optionally, an ipv6
address.
in (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword in to view only BGP updates received from
neighbors.
out (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword out to view only BGP updates sent to neighbors.

Usage
Information
Entering a no debug ip bgp command removes all configured debug commands for BGP.
default-metric
Allows you to change the metrics of redistributed routes to locally originated routes. Use this command with the
redistribute command.
Syntax
default-metric number
To return to the default setting, use the no default-metric command.
Parameters
number
Enter a number as the metric to be assigned to routes from other protocols. The
range is from 1 to 4294967295.
