Usage

Information

If a switch is a MASTER and you change the hold timer, disable and re-enable VRRP for the new hold

timer value to take effect.

Commands

● disable — disables a VRRP group.

preempt

To preempt or become the MASTER router, configure a BACKUP router with a higher priority value.

Syntax

preempt

To prohibit preemption, use the no preempt command.

Defaults Enabled (that is, a BACKUP router can preempt the MASTER router).
