Creating Zonesets
A zoneset is a grouping or configuration of zones.
To create a zoneset and zones into the zoneset:
Figure 22-4. Creating Zonesets Command Example
Activating a Zoneset
Activating a zoneset makes the zones within it effective. On a switch, only one zoneset can be active. Any
changes in an activated zoneset will not take effect until it is re-activated.
By default, the fcoe-map "default_full_fabric" does not have any active zonesets.
Figure 22-5. Activating a Zoneset Command Example
To change to the default zone behavior, use the no active-zoneset zoneset_name command.
To view the active zoneset, use the
show fc zoneset active command (Figure 22-16).
Zone Merge (within ISL)
When two switches are connected through E-port, the active zonesets are merged. Merge operation
involves checking for any zones with same name and different member set and segmenting the switches. If
no conflicts are found, the zones are merged together.
