To view IP information on an interface in Layer 3 mode, use the show ip interface command in EXEC
Privilege mode (Figure 21-7).

Management Interfaces
The S5000 system supports the Management Ethernet interface as well as the standard interface on any
port. Either method can be used to connect to the system.
Configuring a Management Interface
On the S5000 the dedicated Management interface provides management access to the system. You can
configure this interface with Dell Networking OS, but the configuration options on this interface are
limited. Gateway addresses and IP addresses cannot be configured if it appears in the main routing table of
Dell Networking OS. In addition, Proxy ARP is not supported on this interface.
To configure a Management interface, use the following command in the CONFIGURATION mode:

show interface Managementethernet command in the
EXEC Privilege mode.
