Configuring BFD for OSPF is a two-step process:
1. Enabling BFD globally.
2. Establishing sessions with OSPF neighbors.

Enabling BFD globally
BFD must be enabled globally on both routers.
To enable BFD globally:
Verify that BFD is enabled globally using the command
show running bfd, as shown in the example below.

Establishing sessions with OSPF neighbors
BFD sessions can be established with all OSPF neighbors at once or sessions can be established with all
neighbors out of a specific interface. Sessions are only established when the OSPF adjacency is in the full
state.
