Conguring Fabric Parameters
To congure fabric parameters, follow these steps.
1. Enable the Fibre Channel Domain-id Lock.
FCoE-map conguration mode
domain-id-lock
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# domain-id-lock
2. Disable the Fibre Channel Domain-id Lock.
no domain-id-lock
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# no domain-id-lock
3. Congure the domain-id.
domain-id<FC-doman-ID>
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# domain-id 3
4. Congure the principal switch priority.
principal-priority<Principal Switch Priority>
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# principal-priority 254
5. Congure the error detect timeout value.
E-D-TOV<FC E-D-TOV Timeout-Valued>
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# e-d-TOV 2000
This is the basic error timeout used for all Fibre Channel error detection.
The default is 2000 milliseconds.
6. Congure the resource allocation timeout value.
R-A-TOV<FC R-A-TOV Timeout-value>
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# r-a-TOV 10000
This is the amount of time given to devices to allocate the resources that process received frames.
The default is 10000 milliseconds.
7. Congure the receiver transmitter timeout value.
R-T-TOV<FC R-T-TOX Timeout-value>
For example: Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)# r-t-TOV 100
This is the amount of time that the receiver logic uses to determine loss of sync on the wire.
The default is 100 milliseconds.
Sample Conguration
Dell#configure terminal
Dell(conf)#fcoe-map default_full_fabric
Dell(conf-fcoe-default_full_fabric)#fc-fabric
Dell(conf-fmap-default_full_fabric-fcfabric)#domain-id-lock
