The do Command
You can enter an EXEC mode command from any CONFIGURATION mode (CONFIGURATION, INTERFACE, SPANNING TREE, and
so on.) without having to return to EXEC mode by preceding the EXEC mode command with the
do command.
The following example shows the output of the do command.

The no Command
When you enter a command, the command line is added to the running conguration le. Disable a command and remove it from the
running-cong by entering the original command preceded by the no command.
For example, to delete an ip address congured on an interface, use the no ip address ip-address command, as shown in
bold in the following example.
NOTE: To help you construct the “no” form of a command, use the help or ? command as described in Obtaining Help.
Undoing a Command with the no Command
Dell(conf)#interface tengigabitethernet 5/1
Dell(conf-if-te-5/1)#ip address 192.168.10.1/24
Dell(conf-if-te-5/1)#show config
!
interface TenGigabitEthernet 5/1
!
ip address 192.168.10.1/24
shutdown
