upgrade system (stack unit)
Upgrade the Dell Networking OS image on one or all stack units in an S5000 stack from the master
switch.

Syntax
upgrade system {flash://file-path | ftp://file-path | scp://
file-path | tftp://file-path | usbflash://file-path} | stack-
unit {stack-unit—id | all}{A: | B:}}
Parameters
boot Enter the keyword system to change the Dell Networking
OS image.
flash: After the keyword flash:, enter the location of the source
file in the internal flash in the format: //file-pathname or
press
Enter to launch a prompt sequence.
ftp: After the keyword ftp:, enter the location of the source file
in the format: //userid:password@host-ipaddress/
file—pathname or press Enter to launch a prompt
sequence.
scp: After the keyword scp:, enter the location of the source file
in the format: //userid:password@host-ip-address/
file-pathname or press Enter to launch a prompt
sequence.
tftp: After the keyword tftp:, enter the location of the source
file in the format: //host-ipaddress/file-pathname or
press
Enter to launch a prompt sequence.
usbflash: After the keyword usbflash:, enter the location of the
source file in the external flash in the format: //file-path
or press Enter to launch a prompt sequence.
file-path Enter the path and filename to be used to upgrade the Dell
Networking OS image.
stack-unit
{stack-unit-id |
all}
Enter the keyword stack-unit: followed by the stack unit
ID of a member unit or
all to upgrade the boot image on all
stack member units. Valid stack-unit ID numbers are 0 to 11.
A: | B: Enter the Dell Networking OS partition to be upgraded with
the new image.
