LLDP-MED Commands
The following are the LLDP-MED (Media Endpoint Discovery) commands.
Dell Networking OS LLDP-MED commands are an extension of the set of LLDP TLV advertisement commands. The C-Series and S-
Series support all commands.
The E-Series generally supports the commands. However, LLDP-MED commands are more useful on the C-Series and the S50V
model of the S-Series, because they support Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices.
As dened by ANSI/TIA-1057, LLDP-MED provides organizationally specic TLVs (Type Length Value), so that endpoint devices and
network connectivity devices can advertise their characteristics and conguration information. The Organizational Unique Identier
(OUI) for the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is 00-12-BB.
