dcbx port-role
Configure the DCBX port role the interface uses to exchange DCB information.

Syntax
dcbx port-role {config-source | auto-downstream | auto-upstream
| manual}
To remove DCBX port role, use the no dcbx port-role {config-source | auto-
downstream | auto-upstream | manual} command.
Parameters

Enter the DCBX port role, where:
• config-source: configures the port to serve as the
configuration source on the switch.
• auto-upstream: configures the port to receive a peer
configuration. The configuration source is elected from auto-
upstream ports.
• auto-downstream: configures the port to accept the
internally propagated DCB configuration from a configuration
source.
• manual: configures the port to operate only on administer-
configured DCB parameters. The port does not accept a DCB
configuration received form a peer or a local configuration
source.

Usage
Information
DCBX requires that you enable LLDP to advertise DCBX TLVs to peers.
Configure DCBX operation at the INTERFACE level on a switch or globally on the switch. To
verify the DCBX configuration on a port, use the show interface dcbx detail
command.
dcbx version
Configure the DCBX version used on the interface.
