Disable (suppress) sending routing updates on an interface.

Syntax
passive—interface interface
To enable sending routing updates on an interface, use the no passive-interface interface.
Parameters
interface
Enter the following keywords and slot/port or number information:
For a Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
GigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port information.
For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port information.
For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE followed by the slot/port information.
For a Port Channel interface, enter the keyword port-channel
followed by a number:
C-Series, Z-Series, and S4810. Range: 1-128
E-Series 1 to 255 for TeraScale and 1 to 512 for
ExaScale.
For a VLAN, enter the keyword vlan followed by a number
from 1 to 4094.
Defaults Enabled, that is sending of routing updates are enabled by default.

Usage
Information
By default, no interfaces are
passive
. Routing updates are sent to all interfaces on which the
routing protocol is enabled.
