Usage
Information
Static mroutes are used by network administrators to control the reach-ability of the multicast
sources. If a PIM-registered multicast source is reachable using static mroute as well as
unicast route, the distance of each route is examined and the route with shorter distance is the
one the PIM selects for reach-ability.
NOTE: The default distance of mroutes is zero (0) and is CLI configurable on a per route
basis.
