redistribute
Redistribute routes from one routing domain to another routing domain.
Syntax
redistribute {static | connected | rip} [level-1 | level-1-2 | level-2]
[metric metric-value] [metric-type {external | internal}] [route-map map-
name]
To end redistribution or disable any of the specied keywords, use the no redistribute {static |
connected | rip} [metric metric-value] [metric-type {external | internal}]
[level-1 | level-1-2 | level-2] [route-map map-name] command.
Parameters
connected Enter the keyword connected to redistribute active routes into IS-IS.
rip Enter the keyword rip to redistribute RIP routes into IS-IS.
static Enter the keyword static to redistribute user-congured routes into IS-IS.
metric metric-value (OPTIONAL) Assign a value to the redistributed route. The range is from 0 to
16777215. The default is 0. Use a value that is consistent with the destination
protocol.
metric-type
{external | internal}
(OPTIONAL) The external link type associated with the default route advertised
into a routing domain. Specify one of the following:
• external
• internal
level-1 (OPTIONAL) Routes are independently redistributed into IS-IS as Level 1 routes.
level-1-2 (OPTIONAL) Routes are independently redistributed into IS-IS as Level-1-2 routes.
level-2 (OPTIONAL) Routes are independently redistributed into IS-IS as Level 2 routes.
This setting is the default.
route-map map-
name
(OPTIONAL) If you do not enter the route-map argument, all routes are
redistributed. If a map-name value is not specied, no routes are imported.
Defaults
• metric metric-value = 0
• metric-type= internal; level-2
Command Modes
• ROUTER ISIS (for IPv4)
• CONFIGURATION-ROUTER-ISIS-ADDRESS-FAMILY-IPV6 (for IPv6)
