When an interface comes up, whether as part of a system reload or an interface reload, the system waits
300 seconds (5 minutes) to bring up VRRP on that interface.
For the delay timers to take eect, save the conguration and reload the system.
Related Command
vrrp delay minimum — sets the delay time for VRRP initialization after a line card reboot.
vrrp-group
Assign a VRRP ID to an interface. You can congure up to 12 VRRP groups per interface.
Syntax
vrrp-group vrrp-id
Parameters
vrrp-id Enter a number as the group ID. The range is from 1 to 255.
Defaults Not congured.

Usage Information
The VRRP group only becomes active and sends VRRP packets when you congure a virtual IP address.
When you delete the virtual IP address, the VRRP group stops sending VRRP packets.

virtual-address — assigns up to 12 virtual IP addresses per VRRP group.
version
Set the VRRP protocol version for the IPv4 group.
Syntax
version {2 | 3 | both}
To return to the default setting, use the no version command.
