priority
Specify a VRRP priority value for the VRRP group. The VRRP protocol uses this value during the MASTER election process.
Syntax
priority priority
To return to the default value, use the no priority command.
Parameters
priority Enter a number as the priority. Enter 255 only if the router’s virtual address is the
same as the interface’s primary IP address (that is, the router is the OWNER). The
range is from 1 to 255. The default is 100.

Usage Information
To guarantee that a VRRP group becomes MASTER, congure the VRRP group’s virtual address with same
IP address as the interface’s primary IP address and change the priority of the VRRP group to 255.
If you set the priority command to 255 and the virtual-address is not equal to the interface’s
primary IP address, an error message appears.

View the nondefault VRRP conguration.
Syntax
show config [verbose]
Parameters
verbose (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword verbose to view all the VRRP group
conguration information, including default information.
