Usage Information This command species the maximum number of attempts to authenticate a user on an SSH connection
with the remote host for password authentication. SSH disconnects when the number of password failures
exceeds authentication-retries.
ip ssh connection-rate-limit
Congure the maximum number of incoming SSH connections per minute.
Syntax
ip ssh connection-rate-limit 1-10
Parameters
1-10 Enter the number of maximum numbers of incoming SSH connections allowed per
minute. The range is from 1 to 10 per minute. The default is 10 per minute.
Defaults 10 per minute

Enable hostbased-authentication for the SSHv2 server.
Syntax
ip ssh hostbased-authentication enable
To disable hostbased-authentication for SSHv2 server, use the no ip ssh hostbased-
authentication enable command.
