If you want the interface to receive both versions of RIP, enter ip rip receive version 1 2.

Set the interface to send a specific version of RIP. The version you set on the interface
overrides the version command in the ROUTER RIP mode.
Syntax
ip rip send version [1] [2]
To return to the default value, enter
no ip rip send version.

To enable the interface to send both version of RIP packets, enter ip rip send version 1 2.

split-horizon scheme prevents any routes learned over a specific interface to be sent back out
that interface.

ip rip send version Sets the RIP version to be used for sending RIP traffic on an interface.
version Sets the RIP version to be used for the switch software.

(OPTIONAL) Enter the number 1 for RIP version 1.
The default is RIPv1.
