6 S4148U-ON validation
After connected devices are configured, many commands are available to validate the network configuration.
This section provides a list of the most common commands and their output for this topology.
Note: The commands and output shown below are for S4148U-Leaf1. The output for S4148U-Leaf2 is
similar. For additional commands and output related to the leaf-spine portion of the topology, such as BGP,
etc., see Dell EMC Networking Layer 3 Leaf-Spine Deployment and Best Practices with OS10.
6.1 General commands
6.1.1 show interface status
The show interface status | grep up command is used to verify all required interfaces are up and
links are established at their appropriate speeds.

6.1.2 show vlan
Port VLAN assignment is verified with the show vlan command. Po1000 is the VLTi, and it is automatically
created when the VLTi links are selected during the configuration of VLT. Po1000 is a member of all active
VLANs except for VLAN 1002. When VLAN 1002 is specified as the FCoE VLAN during vfabric configuration,
it is automatically removed from the VLTi link. VLAN 4094 is reserved and is the internal control VLAN for the
VLT domain.
