Concept Guide

pfc enables: the advertisement of PFC TLVs.
The default is All PFC and ETS TLVs are advertised.
NOTE: You can congure the transmission of more than one TLV type at a time; for example, advertise DCBx-tlv ets-
conf ets-reco. You can enable ETS recommend TLVs (ets-reco) only if you enable ETS conguration TLVs (ets-
conf
).
To disable TLV transmission, use the no form of the command; for example, no advertise DCBx-tlv pfc ets-reco.
6 On manual ports only: Congure the Application Priority TLVs advertised on the interface to DCBx peers.
PROTOCOL LLDP mode
[no] advertise DCBx-appln-tlv {fcoe | iscsi}
fcoe: enables the advertisement of FCoE in Application Priority TLVs.
iscsi: enables the advertisement of iSCSI in Application Priority TLVs.
The default is Application Priority TLVs are enabled to advertise FCoE and iSCSI.
NOTE: To disable TLV transmission, use the no form of the command; for example, no advertise DCBx-appln-tlv
iscsi.
For information about how to use iSCSI, refer to iSCSI Optimization
To verify the DCBx conguration on a port, use the show interface DCBx detail command.
Conguring DCBx Globally on the Switch
To globally congure the DCBx operation on a switch, follow these steps.
1 Enter Global Conguration mode.
EXEC PRIVILEGE mode
configure
2 Enter LLDP Conguration mode to enable DCBx operation.
CONFIGURATION mode
[no] protocol lldp
3 Congure the DCBx version used on all interfaces not already congured to exchange DCB information.
PROTOCOL LLDP mode
[no] DCBx version {auto | cee | cin | ieee-v2.5}
auto: congures all ports to operate using the DCBx version received from a peer.
cee: congures a port to use CEE (Intel 1.01). cin congures a port to use Cisco-Intel-Nuova (DCBx 1.0).
ieee-v2.5: congures a port to use IEEE 802.1Qaz (Draft 2.5).
The default is Auto.
NOTE
: To congure the DCBx port role the interfaces use to exchange DCB information, use the DCBx port-role
command in INTERFACE Conguration mode (Step 3).
4 Congure the PFC and ETS TLVs that advertise on uncongured interfaces with a manual port-role.
