Usage Information The VLAN:
• can be in only one mode, either community, isolated, or primary.
• mode to community or isolated even before associating it to a primary VLAN.
This secondary VLAN continues to work normally as a normal VLAN even though
it is not associated to a primary VLAN. (A syslog message indicates this.)
• must not have a port in it when VLAN mode is being set.
Only ports (and port channels) configured as promiscuous, host, or PVLAN trunk ports
(as previously described) can be added to the PVLAN. No other regular ports can be
added to the PVLAN.
After using this command to configure a VLAN as a primary VLAN, use the private-
vlan mapping secondary-vlan command to map secondary VLANs to this VLAN.
