Usage Information
After you congure a peer group as passive, assign it a subnet using the neighbor soft-reconfiguration
inbound command.
For passive eBGP limits, the Remote AS must be dierent from the AS for this neighbor.
Related Commands
• neighbor soft-reconguration inbound — assign a subnet to a dynamically congured BGP neighbor.
• neighbor remote-as — assign an indirectly connected AS to a neighbor or peer group.
neighbor remote-as
Create and specify the remote peer to the BGP neighbor.
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} remote-as number
To delete a remote AS entry, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} remote-as
number command.
Parameters
ip-address Enter the IP address of the neighbor to enter the remote AS in its routing table.
peer-group-name Enter the name of the peer group to enter the remote AS into routing tables of all routers
within the peer group.
number Enter a number of the AS. The range is from 0 to 65535 (2 byte) or from 1 to
4294967295 (4 byte).
Defaults Not congured.
