Routing Information Protocol (RIP)
Routing information protocol (RIP) is a distance vector routing protocol. The Dell Networking operating software supports both
RIP version 1 (RIPv1) and RIP version 2 (RIPv2) on the platform.
The Dell Networking OS implementation of RIP is based on IETF RFCs 2453 and RFC 1058. For more information about
configuring RIP, refer to the Dell Networking OS Configuration Guide.
