Uplink Failure Detection (UFD)
Uplink failure detection (UFD) provides detection of the loss of upstream connectivity and, if you use this with
NIC teaming, automatic recovery from a failed link.

Re-enable one or more downstream interfaces on the switch/router that are in a UFD-Disabled Error state so
that an interface can send and receive traffic.
Syntax
clear ufd-disable {interface interface | uplink-state-group group-
id}
Parameters
interface interface Specify one or more downstream interfaces. For interface, enter
one of the following interface types:
10 Gigabit Ethernet: tengigabitethernet {slot/
port[/subport] | slot/port[/subport]-range}
40-Gigabit Ethernet:fortyGigE {slot/port}
Port channel: port-channel {1–128 | port-
channel-range}
Where port-range and port-channel-range specify a range
of ports separated by a dash (-) and/or individual ports/port
channels in any order; for example:
gigabitethernet
