Usage Information The interface must be enabled (the no shutdown command) and not have the switchport command
congured. Multicast must also be enabled globally (using the ip multicast-lag-hashing command). PIM
is supported on the port-channel interface.
ip pim sparse-mode sg-expiry-timer
Enable expiry timers globally for all sources.
Syntax
ip pim [vrf vrf-name] sparse-mode sg-expiry-timer seconds [access-list-name]
To disable congured timers and return to default mode, use the no ip pim [vrf vrf-name] sparse-
mode sg-expiry-timer command.
Parameters
vrf vrf-name (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword vrf followed by the name of the VRF to enable expiry
timer for all sources on that VRF.
NOTE: Applies to specic VRF if input is provided, else applies to Default
VRF.
seconds Enter the number of seconds the S, G entries are retained. The range is from 211 to
65535.
access-list-name (OPTIONAL) Enter the name of a previously congured Extended ACL to enable the
expiry time to specied S,G entries.
Defaults Disabled. The default expiry timer (with no times congured) is 210 sec.
