The Management port is enabled by default (no shutdown). To assign an IP address to the Management port,
use the ip address command.
Example
Dell(conf)# interface managementethernet 1/1
Dell(conf-if-ma-1/1)#
Related Commands
• management route — configure a static route that points to the Management interface or a forwarding
router.
• speed (Management interface) — Set the speed for the Management interface.
interface null
Configure a Null interface on the switch.
Syntax
interface null number
Parameters
number Enter zero (0) as the Null interface number.
Defaults Not configured; number = 0
