centisecs. The range is from 0 to 65525 in units of 25 centisecs.

Usage Information If a switch is a MASTER and you change the hold timer, disable and re-enable VRRP for the new hold timer
value to take eect.
Related Commands disable — disables a VRRP group.

To preempt or become the MASTER router, congure a BACKUP router with a higher priority value.
Syntax

To prohibit preemption, use the no preempt command.
Defaults Enabled (that is, a BACKUP router can preempt the MASTER router).
