Usage Information
When you create a VLT domain on a switch, the Dell Networking OS automatically assigns a unique unit ID
(0 or 1) to each peer switch. The unit IDs are used for internal system operations. To explicitly congure the
unit ID of a VLT peer, use the unit-id command. Congure a dierent unit ID (0 or 1) on each peer
switch.
This command minimizes the time required for the VLT system to determine the unit ID assigned to each
peer switch when one peer reboots.
vlt domain
Enable VLT on a switch, congure a VLT domain, and enter VLT-Domain Conguration mode.
Syntax
vlt domain domain-id
Parameters
domain-id Enter the domain ID number. Congure the same domain ID on the peer switch.
The range of domain IDs is from 1 to 1000.
