Usage Information To block a type of message parameter, set the logging trap level to a lower number. For example, to block
severity messages at level 6, set the level to 5.

Usage Information
To display syslog messages in a RFC 3164 or RFC 5424 format, use the log version command in
conguration mode. By default, the system log version is set to 0.
The following describes the two supported log messages formats:
• 0 – Displays syslog messages format as described in RFC 3164, The BSD syslog Protocol
•
1 – Displays SYSLOG message format as described in RFC 5424, The Syslog Protocol
