Deployment Guide

53 VCF on VxRail Multirack Deployment using BGP EVPN
8.9 Create and configure the Tier-0 gateway
The Tier-0 gateway in the NSX-T Edge cluster provides a gateway service between the logical and physical
network. The NSX-T Edge cluster can back multiple Tier-0 gateways. In this example, each edge node hosts
a Tier-0 gateway, and ECMP is used to create multiple paths to the two leaf switches in the rack. See Create
and configure the Tier-0 gateway for step-by-step instructions. In this example, no changes were made to the
values found in the VVD.

8.10 Create and configure the Tier-1 gateway
Create and configure the Tier-1 gateway to redistribute routes to the Tier-0 gateway and provide routing
between tenant workloads. Tier-1 gateways have downlink ports to connect to NSX-T segments and uplink
ports to connect to NSX-T Tier-0 gateways.
Note: Refer to Create and Configure the Tier-1 Gateway.
