LLDP-MED Commands
The following are the LLDP-MED (Media Endpoint Discovery) commands.
Dell Networking OS LLDP-MED commands are an extension of the set of LLDP TLV advertisement commands. The C-Series and S-
Series support all commands.
The E-Series generally supports the commands. However, LLDP-MED commands are more useful on the C-Series and the S50V
model of the S-Series, because they support Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices.
As dened by ANSI/TIA-1057, LLDP-MED provides organizationally specic TLVs (Type Length Value), so that endpoint devices and
network connectivity devices can advertise their characteristics and conguration information. The Organizational Unique Identier
(OUI) for the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is 00-12-BB.
• LLDP-MED Endpoint Device — any device that is on an IEEE 802 LAN network edge, can communicate using IP, and uses the
LLDP-MED framework.
• LLDP-MED Network Connectivity Device — any device that provides access to an IEEE 802 LAN to an LLDP-MED endpoint
device, and supports IEEE 802.1AB (LLDP) and TIA-1057 (LLDP-MED). The Dell Networking system is an LLDP-MED network
connectivity device.
Regarding connected endpoint devices, LLDP-MED provides network connectivity devices with the ability to:
• manage inventory
• manage Power over Ethernet (POE)
• identify physical location
• identify network policy
advertise med guest-voice

tagged number}
To return to the default, use the no advertise med guest-voice {vlan-id
layer2_priority DSCP_value} | {priority-tagged number} command.
Parameters
vlan-id Enter the VLAN ID. The range is from 1 to 4094.
layer2_priority Enter the Layer 2 priority. The range is from 0 to 7.
