copy
Copy one le to another location. Dell Networking OS supports IPv4 and IPv6 addressing for FTP, TFTP, and SCP (in the hostip
eld).
Syntax
copy compressed-config source-file-url destination-file-url
Parameters
Enter the following location keywords and information:
compressed-cong Enter the keyword compressed-config to copy one le, after optimizing and
reducing the size of the conguration le, to another location. Dell Networking OS
supports IPv4 and IPv6 addressing for FTP, TFTP, and SCP (in the hostip eld).
le-url
To copy a le from
the internal FLASH
enter flash:// followed by the lename
To copy a le on an
FTP server
enter ftp://user:password@hostip/filepath
NOTE: For FTP copy operations done through
external servers, the password you specify for
accessing the FTP server can be a string of up to
32 characters in length.
To copy a le on a
HTTP server
enter http: http://hostip/filepath
NOTE: For HTTP copy operations done through
external servers, the password you specify for
accessing the HTTP server can be a string of up to
32 characters in length.
To copy a le on a
NFS mounted
system
enter nfsmount://<mount-point/filepath
NOTE: While switching to a remote NFS le
system, it is mandatory to specify the mount-point
that indicates the working directory on the NFS le
system. You cannot enter the root directory of the
remote NFS le system.
To copy the
running
conguration
enter the keyword running-config
To copy the
startup
conguration
enter the keyword startup-config
To copy using a
Secure Copy
(SCP),
enter the keyword scp:
If you enter scp: in the source position, enter the
target URL;
If you enter scp: in the target position, rst enter
the source URL;
NOTE: For SCP copy operations done through
external servers, the password you specify can be a
string of up to 32 characters in length.
