Command History
This guide is platform-specic. For command information about other platforms, refer to the relevant Dell

The following is a list of the Dell Networking OS version history for this command.

9.8(0.0) Introduced on the S3048-ON and S4048-ON.
9.7(0.0) Introduced the support for bmp-boot on the S-Series and Z-Series switches.
8.3.19.0 Introduced on the S4820T.

Usage Information To display these changes in the show bootvar command output, save the running conguration to the
startup conguration (using the copy command) and reload system.
The keyword bmp-boot is used only when the device boots up from BMP. In case of industrial standard
upgraded device, the Dell networking OS stores the image partition upgraded from the DHCP oer in bmp-
boot variable.

Change to a dierent working directory.
Syntax
cd directory
Parameters
directory (OPTIONAL) Enter one of the following:
flash: (internal Flash) or any sub-directory
nfsmount://<mount-point>/filepath: NFS mounted path
NOTE: While switching to a remote NFS le system, it is mandatory to
specify the mount-point that indicates the working directory on the
NFS le system. You cannot enter the root directory of the remote NFS
le system.
usbflash: (internal Flash) or any sub-directory
