traceroute
View a packet’s path to a specic device.
Syntax
traceroute {host | ip-address | ipv6-address}
Parameters
host Enter the name of device.
ip-address Enter the IP address of the device in dotted decimal format.
ipv6-address Enter the IPv6 address, in the x:x:x:x::x format, to which you are testing
connectivity.
NOTE: The :: notation species successive hexadecimal elds of zeros.
Defaults
• Timeout = 5 seconds
• Probe count = 3
• 30 hops max
• 40 byte packet size
• UDP port = 33434
