Usage Information
If this command is not congured, cost is based on the auto-cost command.
When you congure OSPF over multiple vendors, to ensure that all routers use the same cost, use the ip
ospf cost
command. Otherwise, OSPF routes improperly.
Related Commands auto-cost — controls how the OSPF interface cost is calculated.
ip ospf dead-interval
Set the time interval since the last hello-packet was received from a router. After the interval elapses, the neighboring routers
declare the router dead.

Syntax
ip ospf dead-interval seconds
To return to the default values, use the no ip ospf dead-interval command.
Parameters
seconds Enter the number of seconds for the interval. The range is from 1 to 65535. The
default is 40 seconds.
