Es gelten folgende Einschränkungen:

● Nachdem ein Volume einem Host zugeordnet wurde, nutzt es dasselbe Storage-Protokoll (SCSI oder NVMe) wie der Host, dem es

zugeordnet ist.

● Gemischte Protokolle werden nicht unterstützt.

Schritte

1. Aktivieren Sie unter Compute > Hosts & Host Groups das Kontrollkästchen neben dem Host oder der Hostgruppe, dem/der Sie

Volumes zuordnen möchten.

2. Wählen Sie Provision > Map aus, um das Slide-Out-Fenster Map Volumes zu öffnen.

3. Wählen Sie mindesten ein Volume aus, das dem Host oder der Hostgruppe zugeordnet werden soll.

4. Legen Sie fest, ob eine logische Einheit (LUN) bereitgestellt oder automatisch generiert werden soll.

5. Klicken Sie auf Anwenden.

Configure CHAP authentication

Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP) authenticates iSCSI initiators (hosts) and targets (volumes and snapshots) to

expose iSCSI storage while ensuring a secure, standard storage protocol.

Without CHAP authentication, any host that is connected to the same IP network as the system iSCSI ports can read from and write to

the system. If your system is on a public network, it is strongly recommended that you use CHAP authentication.

ANMERKUNG:

If you plan to use CHAP authentication, you must set up and enable CHAP authentication before preparing volumes

to receive data. If you prepare drives to receive data before you set up and enable CHAP authentication, you could lose access to the

volumes.

Schritte

1. Wählen Sie das Symbol Settings aus und dann CHAP im Abschnitt Security.

2. Enable CHAP authentication.
